TESTING RAMPS, GUARDRAILS, STAIRS AND COLUMNS

COMPLY WITH BUILDING CODES

Enjoy peace of mind knowing your products and installations are safe for everyone.

POLYTESTS Services is your laboratory of choice for testing ramps, guardrails, handrails, staircases and columns according to the building codes.

We issue recognized engineering reports in Quebec and Ontario.

WE HELP YOU

To minimize your risks and be assured of passing the tests, we offer a preparatory analysis or even preliminary testing to specifically check a product’s weak points.

In the event of a problem, you can make any required adjustments to the product and avoid proceeding with the complete testing program before being certain that it will be successful.

POLYTESTS Services delivers:
  • A recognized report included in the guardrail test program;
  • The seal of the order of engineers from Quebec and / or Ontario as often requested by retailers, architects or municipal inspectors;
  • Protection in terms of possible insurance recourse in the event of a problem with your product;
  • The best possible value: after a preliminary engineering study, we design your test program to minimize the number of tests required based on all of your models, which may vary in height, length or other aesthetic elements;
  • Access to our laboratories during the tests – come see what we do for you;
  • Support from our engineers to make the necessary modifications to the product in the event of a failure during the testing program.

STEPS TO GETTING YOUR PRODUCT APPROVED

  3. An engineering analysis according to the type of materials and assembly method makes it possible to determine the safety factors to be used.
  4. Product is installed on the test bench.
  5. The test program is conducted, including load tests from the side, from above, with distributed and punctual loads.
  6. A report stamped with the order of Professional Engineers is issued.
